Haenyeo_Strongest Woman

In the serene coastal village of Jeju Island, I had the privilege of meeting some of the strongest women I've ever encountered, the Haenyeos. Often referred to as 'sea women', these incredible divers harvest marine products, primarily sea urchins, abalones, and seaweeds, plunging into the depths without any oxygen tanks. Their dedication, resilience, and age-old traditions were awe-inspiring. I spent several days observing and understanding their lives, rituals, and challenges. With their consent, I managed to capture their essence in photographs, showcasing their daily routines, their laughter, struggles, and camaraderie. Every frame held a story of strength, courage, and an undying bond with the sea. These images not only immortalized their spirit but also deepened my respect and admiration for the Haenyeos.
