While in Japan, I attended a poignant event co-hosted by Koreans and Japanese. The gathering focused on the tragic stories of Koreans who had died in Japan and whose remains had remained undiscovered for a long time. The atmosphere was one of mutual respect and shared grief, underscoring the importance of remembering and acknowledging the past to pave the way for a harmonious future. It was a reminder of the interconnected histories and the necessity for understanding and reconciliation between communities.
